History and Purpose
Founded 2021 by Jamie Kinkade, the Rangers were created to fill a clear regional need: accessible, organised baseball for Central Victoria. Since incorporation in 2024, our purpose has remained constant — to promote baseball in Bendigo and surrounding communities while offering a family-oriented, inclusive environment for players, families, and volunteers.
Objectives and Vision
We deliver high-quality programs for juniors and seniors that develop skills, confidence, and enjoyment. Our governance focuses on transparency, responsible finances, and clear policies. Over the next five years we aim to grow into a multi-division club with stronger junior pathways, improved facilities, expanded volunteer structures, and enhanced training for coaches and umpires. Our vision is a club recognised across the region for excellence in culture, safety, inclusion, and community impact — a place every member is proud to call home.
What We Offer
- Inclusive participation: flexible commitment options so families and players can join even if they can’t make every week.
- Support network: coaching, mentoring, and practical help from current and former members, family, and friends.
- Clear communication: four levels of communication platforms to keep everyone informed and connected.
- Player protection: registration includes Players Personal Injury Insurance aligned with Baseball Australia, Baseball Victoria, and Bendigo Baseball Association requirements.
Membership and Fees
We keep fees as low as possible while covering essential costs like equipment, field maintenance, and insurance. Fees are set to meet governing-body standards and to protect members. If fees ever present a barrier, we encourage open conversation — we’ll work with families to find a solution.
Culture and Values
Our club is built on fairness, respect, accountability, inclusion, safety, community contribution, and integrity. We expect consistent behaviour that supports a positive culture where everyone feels valued — whether they’re playing, cheering from the sidelines, or volunteering. Diversity of skill and experience is a strength; development and wellbeing are priorities.
